Alwan Ali Hassan brings over 30 years of managerial and leadership experience to KCCF. Alwan holds a B.Sc and an MBA and with extensive Banking experience, rising to the level of an Executive Director and later the Managing Director/CEO of the Bank of Agriculture Limited.
He has attended Management training at the famous IMD Business School Lausanne, Switzerland, and Intrados Business School, Washington, DC, USA. He is married with children and widely traveled.
Prof. Muuta Ibrahim, MD

Professor Muuta has over 45 years of experience as a medical doctor and a professor of medicine. He has at various times worked in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He worked at the Derbyshire Children’s Hospital, Derby, and the City Hospital, Nottingham. His work has also taken him across many universities both in Nigeria and the UK, including Usmanu Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, Bayero University / Aminu Kano University Teaching Hospital, Kano, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Kaduna State University, Kaduna and University of Dundee in Scotland. He was also the Vice Chancellor of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina
Prof. Shehu U. Abdullahi, MD
AKTH Head of Tumor Board - Member
Dr. Shehu is a Consultant Paediatrician and Professor at Bayero University and Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, with expertise in sickle cell disease and Paediatric Haematology-oncology.
He leads the Paediatric Haematology-Oncology Unit and Tumor Board and previously served as Head of the Paediatrics Department. His research and clinical work focus on improving outcomes for children with Sickle Cell Disease and Cancer.
Alhaji Abdullahi Sarki Muhammed
Sarkin Yamman Kano - Member and Founder
Alhaji Abdullahi is the Founder of the Foundation. He comes with over 30 years in Managerial and Leadership experience. A Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree holder from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA. His career has taken him across Training and Banking, rising to the level of an Executive Director and currently serving as an Independent Director with Fidelity Bank of Nigeria PLC.
He has attended numerous courses both in Nigeria and Overseas, including those at the London Business School, Cornell University, INSEAD Singapore, and the Strathmore Business School in Nairobi, Kenya. He is an avid golf player and happily married with children, and currently holds the coveted traditional title of Sarkin Yamman Kano.
